World Cup 2018; Super Eagles travel to Russia

Ahead of the World Cup tournament in Russia which kicks off on Thursday, June 14, 2018, the Super Eagles of Nigeria squad have departed Austria for Russia.

Nigeria, seeded in the Group D, will face Croatia, Iceland, and Argentina in the first stage of the preliminary. 

Nigeria has made three previous appearances at the Mundial. On two of them, they ended in the first stage of the preliminary but had a fantastic outing in the USA 1994 World Cup tournament where they crashed out in the second stage.

The team which flagged off the Nigerian flag as they left their camp in matching white and Green attires which they paired white leather slippers and hats is expected to come back with the trophy this time around.
